RA Dr. Eva Jana Messerschmidt

Victor Justus Messerschmidt is an attorney-at-law admitted to the bar in Germany, specializing in intellectual property law and art law. He studied law in Freiburg im Breisgau and Hamburg and completed an LL.M. in Art Law at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. His master’s thesis was dedicated to the contemporary art market, focusing on art advisory and its legal implications.

He has worked in film and copyright law as well as in industrial property protection for international law firms and boutique practices. His professional background includes positions at firms in Germany, Italy, and Austria, including Von Have Fey in Hamburg and Nunziante Magrone in Rome. Additionally, he gained in-house experience in the field of intellectual property at EssilorLuxottica in Milan.

As a cooperation partner of the firm, he advises, among other areas, on immigration and citizenship law, with a particular focus on clients whose work crosses borders: artists and musicians with engagements abroad, creatives transitioning into self-employment, and collectors relocating with their collections.

He provides legal counsel in German, English, Italian, and Czech.
